What is the age requirement for membership?
At this time, all applicants must be at least  18 years of age to join the USRC.

What is the price to join the USRC?
Currently, membership is $30.00 a year for annual dues. This fee is nation wide and the same for each state.

Is joining the USRC enrollment into the military?
No, the USRC is not a military entity. The USRC is a voluntary civilian organization.

I don't have any military experience, would this be a problem?
Not at all! We currently have members that have no experience in any form of military or special training. The USRC is always looking for people who can utilize their own talents in a way to help their community and their country.

I'm not a U.S. Citizen; will I be able to join?
Since there are many specific areas in this particular topic, we ask that you contact us, so we can speak with you regarding this concern.

Do members receive pay?
No. All members are volunteers who perform great tasks for their community and country.

I have prior military experience and also belonged to other volunteer organizations, will any of my information transfer to the USRC?
Yes, if you have prior experience, most of that will transfer into the USRC. However, we would ask that you contact us directly, or speak with the USRC Unit Commander closest to you for a more in-depth answer.

Does the USRC wear any type of uniforms and are they required at all times?
Yes, the USRC does have a uniform attire and are not required at all events. However, certain events such as ceremonies  and most missions will require the proper USRC uniform attire.  More information on this can be obtained by your Unit Commander or by contacting us directly.

What type of benefits do registered memberships receive?

I am currently a pilot; would I be permitted to fly in the USRC?
Absolutely! We are always looking for qualified pilots to participate in aeronautical missions we may be involved in. We have several conditions pilots must have before they may fly any USRC missions. Said pilot must possess a valid FAA commercial or private certificate. You wil also be required to put in flight time with your Unit Commander before any flight missions.
